Sobre este artículo

Single-sheet broadside poem in Fine condition. Published by the American Academy of Poets in 1996 in an edition of 500 copies. Designed and printed by Dean Bornstein at The Perpetua Press. Inspired by the first Persian Gulf War and a line from La Fileuse (The Spinner) by Paul Valery. Written in the form of a traditional French villanelle and offering an apocalyptic vision of a grim future wrought by war. A compelling work by Kizer (1925-2014), winner of a Pulitzer Prize in 1985. 12 by 9 inches. Thick, textured cream paper with tree design embossed into the background. Blank verso.
