Sobre este artículo
Seattle: Superior Publishing Comapny, 1967 The long steel ribbon wound West over plain, desert, and mountain into the timbered vastness of the Washington wilderness. The building of it was a saga of strong men battling sand, snow, and the high mountain passes. Some were broken by heat and cold, some blown to eternity by primitive equipment, some buried under the wreckage of flimsy bridges. And all of it becomes the story of pioneers in a power struggle, driven to success by the indomitable spirit of the Empire Builder-James J. Hill. Another wonderful, accessible book by Superior Publishing. Condition notes: 190 numbered pp +2; HB w/DJ. Pages: clean, bright, tight, decorative map eps, large photo frontis. Cover: umber cloth, navy ornamentation and titles front/spine; minimal shelfwear. DJ: unclipped, blue/white, train photo plus blue/black titles front, black/white titles spine; very light edge/shelfwear w/half-inch closed tear to front top edge, slight rubbing to spine. A very nice copy indeed.
