"Communicated to the American Philosophical Society, 6th March 1835." Includes Errata on p. 296. Father Najera (1803-1853) was a linguist who was in exile in Philadelphia from his native Mexico in the 1830s when he presented his important study of the Otomi language. the study was first published separately in 1835, prior to its appearance in the Transactions of the American Philosophical Society. In Near Fine Condition: disbound from a larger volume; clean and bright.
