Sobre este artículo
New York: The Macmillan Company, 1929. First Edition. First printing. 8vo. Publisher's terracotta cloth spine over green and white paper covered boards. Dustjacket. Titled in gilt and black to spine and front board, light bumping to corners and spine ends. In a bright, clean priceclipped dustjacket with some creasing and small chips of loss to the upper edge, and some toning and grubbiness here and there. A strong, handsome copy, boldly inscribed by the author to the half title:
"For Jillian Scalzo, And the author signs his name, Vachel Lindsay"
A complex pocket homage to Washington, with the title largely borrowed from a more limited Lindsay project from a couple of years earlier. A rather deluxe piece of book production.
