Paperback trade, very good condition, stapled pamphlet, card covers, black & white text-photos, map, faint foxing edges, minor edgewear (mainly spine). 24 pp. Fourth edition, dated 1982. A booklet about the Zig Zag Railway in the Blue Mountains to Lithgow region, New South Wales. Opened in 1869, the Great Lithgow Zig Zag was acclaimed a railway engineering feat, unique in the world. The Zig Zag Co-operative Society was formed exactly 100 years after the line was first used, and on the 106th anniversary of the first date of operation, 18th october 1975, the first of the many Zig Zag Railway Co-operative locomotives used the middle road of the old railway. The dedication, interest, ability and perseverance of the society has gradually built the Zig Zag Tourist Railway in to one of New South Wales' major attractions.
