USA: Philomel Books, 1981. First Thus Assumed 1st. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket Issued. Paul Wagner color illustrations. CONDITION: Very Good, 1981 Philomel Books hardcover (pictorial boards)- no DJ issued. I'm at a loss as to what sort of "edition" to call this - it is a reproduction of an antique book from Germany. It also appears to be a facsimile, but in translation - I give up. Also, Peter Seymour has adapted the stories. I settled on First Thus. PROBLEMS - tiny edge wear at corner tips and top spine. There are pale signs of the book sliding in and out of a shelf against other books. There is a gift inscription on the inside front cover, however, I guess the child either never looked at the book or did so only once. Clean and very tight. CONTENT: As advertised, four plays (very short ones): Spring is Here, Summer at the Seashore, The Apple Picking Party; and Winter Festival. Translated by Paula Didriksen. On each scene there is also a pull tab to the side which makes some of the characters "move." Sorry for the bad description.
