Beige cloth decorated with stamped titles and borders and pasted on paper illustration, printed end-papers, with dust jacket. Book condition fair, cloth on hinges has split and been reinforced with sticking plaster, pages slightly toned else contents clean throughout. Dust jacket condition fair, part of front panel including titles and part of illustration torn away tear with loss at top of spine, tears repaired with sticking plaster to rear panel. The rhymes have been 'collected & illustrated by Cicely Mary Barker. 79 rhymes many well known &/or authors well known. Included are: Baby - Christina G. Rosseti. Bed in Summer - Robert Louis Stevenson. Berries - Walter de la Mare. The Echoing Green - William Blake. Eddis Service - Rudyard Kipling. He Prayeth Well - Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The Lobster Quardrille + The Walrus & the Carpenter - Lewis Carroll. The Lost Shoe - Walter de la Mare. The Naughty Boyt - John Keats. Several Edward Lear including the Owl and the Pussycat. Written in March - Wiliam Wordsworth etc Dust jacket not price clipped, price is 2/6 net.
