About VG (slight spine fade, mild ghosting to the spine, strips off darkening to the spine tips matching chips in the dustwrapper). The dustwrapper is priced 7/6 net to the spine (as called for) and is about VG and rather "tired" looking with chips and loss to the spine tips, darkening to the spine and some grubbiness to the back panel. "One of Bailey's more tangled plots, with plenty of incident and suspense as Josh Clunk, self-styled hand of God, investigates the murder of Mollie Marn, and attempts to defence Captain Davy, outside whose cottage Marn's corpse was placed, from charges of murder and treason (WordPress).
