Boston: L.C. Page & Company. Very Good in Good+ dust jacket. 1956. Fortieth Printing. Hardcover. 274 + ads p. 19.5 cm. Sound and square binding in red, cloth-covered boards, with gilt titles and decoration on the upper board and spine. Light wear to the corner tips and spine ends. Text block edges are foxed. A couple of minor scuff marks to boards. Gift inscription, crayon mark, and inked price on the front free endpaper. Otherwise the inside pages are clean and unmarked. The dust jacket has heavy wear (chips, tears, creases) to the spine ends and corners, with less wear along the edges. One of the titles in the Little Colonel series, originally published in 1902. Includes a black and white frontispiece by Etheldred B. Barry. No other illustrations. .
