Boston: Roberts Brothers, 1871. First edition, first issue . Hardcover. Very Good. Very good in original maroon (or plum) cloth-covered boards with gilt stamping on the front board and spine. Spine sunned, brief interior foxing and wear at the tips. This copy is ex-library, but with limited markings including spine number, bookplate and blindstamp on the title-page. Four pages of ads at the front of the book including an ad for "Pink and WHite Tyranny" which states "Nearly Ready".
Sinopsis
Little Men, or Life at Plumfield with Jo's Boys is a novel by American author Louisa May Alcott, first published in 1871. The novel reprises characters from Little Women and is considered by some the second book of an unofficial Little Women trilogy, which is completed with Alcott's 1886 novel Jo's Boys, and How They Turned Out: A Sequel to "Little Men". Little Men tells the story of Jo Bhaer and the children at Plumfield Estate School.
