New York: George H. Doran, 1920. 384 pp, 7 3/4" H. Grey cloth with green title block on spine, green oblong with author's name on front board and decorative border with title in green letters. GDH symbol on title page denoting First Edition. The American first preceded the British which was published in 1921 as 'Jill the Reckless'. When a wealthy young woman loses her fiance and her fortune, she abandons London society for New York, finding employment as a chorus girl - and true love. Light wrinkling at top/bottom of spine, ver small bump to bottom corner of both boards, book is very slightly cocked, very light browning to spine, brownig to edges of text block, inside front hinge has wrinkling to paper and two small splits in the paper but is holding very firmly, 1 1/4' crease at top of half-title page, small edge tear at bottom of page leaf 233/234 - archivally taped, very small tear and bump at top edge of pages 303 to 314 - archivally taped, a few very tiny dents to bottom of text block, slight toning to pages - mostly in margins, protected in a mylar sleeve.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.
