California State Department of Education, 1947. Hardcover. Good. K. Milhous et al. Decorated cover lamentably rubbed. Corners bumped, beginning fray. Smeary felt pen mark through school info on front board and on page edges. But that said, this is a nifty little book from the git. Two-page title is a Milhous color illustration of kids and llamas and balloons and platters of fruit. Makes you eager to enter. and the topic is covered so well and in such an interesting mix of methods that any child will find fruitful reward. Incorporates Spanish words naturally and with ease. And provides pronunciation help and interesting appendixes. A very satisfactory little volume about a South America that may no longer exist.
