Sobre este artículo

New York:: The Eakins Press, 1968. A bright, clean, square, tight copy. Sharp corners. The Dust Jacket would also be FINE but for a little darkening at the spine. NOT price clipped (4.95). No chips. No tears. No creases. No owner's name or bookplate. No remainder mark. The first story contains a few very light (easily erased) pencil corrections, POSSIBLY IN THE AUTHOR'S HAND. For example on page 11, "back from the laboratory" is hand-corrected to "back from the chemistry laboratory." This is Willard's first book of prose, containing 5 short stories: THE HUCKLEBONE OF A SAINT; GRAFFITO; THE BOY WHO RAN WITH THE DOGS; THE BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY; and THE LIVELY ANATOMY OF GOD. Designed by Edith McKeon. Printed at the Stinehour Press. Bound in the original red cloth, lettered in shiny gold over a forest green spine panel. Willard was awarded an O'Henry award for THEO'S GIRL, and the 1982 Newbery Medal for A VISIT TO WILLIAM BLAKE'S INN. . First Edition (so stated).. Hard Cover. Fine condition./Near Fine dust jacket.. 8vo. 96pp..

Sobre About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
