For example on page 11, "back from the laboratory" is hand-corrected to "back from the chemistry laboratory." This is Willard's first book of prose, containing 5 short stories: THE HUCKLEBONE OF A SAINT; GRAFFITO; THE BOY WHO RAN WITH THE DOGS; THE BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY; and THE LIVELY ANATOMY OF GOD. Designed by Edith McKeon. Printed at the Stinehour Press. Bound in the original red cloth, lettered in shiny gold over a forest green spine panel. Willard was awarded an O'Henry award for THEO'S GIRL, and the 1982 Newbery Medal for A VISIT TO WILLIAM BLAKE'S INN. . First Edition (so stated).. Hard Cover. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole.
