Originally published in England in the 17th century, this compilation of Walton's literary biographies is the first American edition. It was published as Volumes V and VI of the publisher's Library of the Old English Prose Writers. Blue cloth with printed paper spine labels. Each volume has a woodcut title page vignette of older man reading by candlelight. xcvi, 224pp; 336pp. First volume contains editor's preface by Alexander Young and lengthy introduction to the life and works of Izaak Walton. ; Ex-Library; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .

After running an open shop for twenty years in the historic village of Schuylerville we now sell books online and at book fairs. We are members of the Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA). Our specialties include books about history, science, cooking, children's books, and the arts. Rachel is a graduate of the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar and has attended Rare Book School in Charlottesville, Virginia.
