Illustrated with engravings, delightful initial caps and head and tail pieces. Half bound in leather over marbled boards (boards worn, rubbed at edges, rounded at corners, scuffed over spine with minor cracks and loss at spine ends). Internally some spotting and a few creases on pages. As well as daily texts and faith related articles, there are articles on a range of topics such as British Thrushes, Christmas Poetry, The Coronation, The Electric Telegraphy, The Hippopotamus, The Jews and their History, King Charles Spaniels, Sin, London history, Pottery, etc.
