South Wales: Llanelli Borough Council. Very Good- in Good+ dust jacket. 1984. First Edition. Hardcover. 0906821029 . Clean red cloth-covered boards with bright gilt titling to spine. Head and tail of spine bumped/turned-in but No damage. In the original publisher's pictorial dustjacket. The d/j is NOT clipped, but there is some crumpling/creasing to the top edges of the d/j, and the spine of the d/j has some fading to the base colour of the spine (quite usual as the colour was a cherry-red which fades easily to 'pink') but all lettering, etc, is very clear. ALL Hinges sound and the book is tight and very sound, but this is a very heavy book and the text block 'sways' a little. NO Inscriptions or Marks. (x) + 502 pp. Index. Black and white frontispiece and b/w illustrations. Internally an Excellent, Clean Tight and Bright copy. "...not a formal history of Llanelli but, within its pages, is the stuff of history...its origins and tragedies of everyday life; the dangers daily attendant upon those who went to the sea in ships or into the bowels of the earth to earn their daily bread."
