New York & London: Harper & Bros, 1898. Samel Rutherford. Crockett (1859-1914) was a prolific author of sentimental novels set in Scotland; this is probably his most famous This is a Near Fine copy of the First American Edition that has been rebound in a Fine Binding. Marbled paper boards with a brown leather spine; spine is ruled and lettered in gilt. Clean text; 412 pages, with a map in the rear; illustrated by T. This was once a library book; there is a removal stamp on the title page, but this is the only treatment, and it is the opinion of Quercus that this is not really a detraction. Tiny scuff on the spine and the stamping, else a Fine copy. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Thus.. Half-Leather. Near Fine/No Jacket. Illus. by T. De Thulstrup.
