Sobre este artículo

The Macmillan company, 1939-01-01. Hardcover. Good. 1948 second printing, The Macmillan Company (New York), 5 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches tall teal cloth hardcover in publisher's dust jacket, gilt lettering to spine, xvi, 185 pp. Slight to moderate soiling, rubbing and edgewear to covers, with slight bumping to the lower tips. Prior owner name stamp to upper margin of blank front free-endpaper. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - in a soiled, worn and torn dust jacket which is nicely preserved and displayed in a clear archival Brodart sleeve. ~KKK~ [2.0P] The author argues that there is no such thing as Mind with a capital letter, and that consciousness, behavior, purpose, value, meaning and all so-called mental processes, when subjected to logical and scientific scrutiny, turn out to be indistinguishable from the initial data that enter the conceptual language of all science. The implications of the author's point of view he terms 'Critical Positivism.' Carroll C. (Cornelius) Pratt (1894-1979) was an American psychologist and musicologist. Much of his work centered on the interplay of psychology, music and emotion. He was involved with the experimental psychology and Gestalt psychology movements.
