Two matching large folio volumes, full leather binding with gilt decoration and raised bands. Wear and loss at spine ends, Split in lower quarter of front joint in volume I, leather is rubbed. Sound binding. Volume I has modern book plate on inside of front cover and pasted in are various newspaper articles relating to William Dove, the Leeds Poisoning Case (Aug 1856). Handwriiten note on title page. Volume II has short split in leather on lower front joint. Light foxing to prelims, pages are otherwise clean. Decorated capitals throughout.
