Green coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. This book evokes a London that the artist and the author remember when they first visited the city in the early part of the 20th century, it is a sketch and evocation of the London that they remember, even as the book was published was disappearing due to World War II. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges; bumping and rubbing of the book corners with rubbing to the lower book edges. Some marks to the book panels and fading of the back strip. Light browning of the text block edges and pages. Offset tanning to the end pages and original book seller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down.
