LONDON: METHUEN & Co Ltd, 1912 SIGNED Copy.Original Pale Blue cloth boards (Faded lavender?) with gilt tiles and decs to spine. 195 x 135 mm approx. xiv + 296 + 38 pp of publisher's adverts. First edition copy of this entertainment from this prolific and eminently readable author. The copy offered by us has the added attribute of being inscribed and signed by E.V.Lucas to the front free end paper. Good (Book- cloth evenly faded with modest shelf wear and soiling. Binding sound with no cracks to end papers. No previous owner name. Moderate foxing to preliminary pages. Foredge of a few pages towards the end are a little ragged where not guillotined in the course of book production and not cleanly cut by a previous owner. (Not significant but worthy of mention for the fastidious collector). Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale.
