Sobre este artículo
London: Methuen & Co. , 1926. First edition. Cloth. Very Good. 8" by 6" . A. E. Horne. The first edition of this fascinating work of British topography, narrating of what one could do during a year in the city of London, beautifully decorated by A. E. Horne. Journalist and travel author H. V, Morton takes his readers through a year in London. A charming narrative detailing the typical year in the largest city in and capital of the United Kingdom, with chapters focussing on each month. For example, in June, one might have seen the King on his birthday and have a tea-party in Mayfair, and in December, one could admire the mistletoe in Covent Garden before saying goodbye to a London year. In second-person narration. The first edition of this work, an uncommon copy. Decorated in text and with full page plates by A. E. Horne. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally sound with minor shelf wear and some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, a touch of darkening to the spine and minor damp marking to the front board. Previous ownership inscription to the front free endpaper, dated 1927. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to the fore edge, not affecting the pages which are otherwise bright and clean. Decorated in text and with full page plates by A. E. Horne. Very Good
