Sobre este artículo
Peter Bushell reviews some of the hilarious, bizarre and macabre things that have happened in London's long history. Learn about the marquis who preferred his kippers boiled in gin; the 'flying man' who collided with the steeple of St Luke's Church; or the sleep walking butler who laid a table for 14 on his mistress's bed. Bushell has combed seven hundred books to bring the reader an extraordinary insight into the high spots of strangeness in one of the world's great cities.
An excellent copy. Pages are clean, bright and unmarked with no spots, fading or creases. A birthday inscription is at the top of the endpaper. Cloth boards are tight and clean. DJ clipped, but otherwise is in first class condition with no apparent wear or rubbing at all. All now protected in professional clear removable book wrapper. 267pp with bibliography, index and B&W illustrations
