Clean, tight text block with only some mild discolouration to outer edge. Long outer edge of text block roughly trimmed. In orange dust jacket, not price clipped. The jacket is worn at edges with some creasing, small closed tears and mild chipping. There are 2 half inch closed tears at top front of jacket and a small chip missing from the spine (in the middle closer to the back). The jacket is lightly soiled and rubbed on the back, with fading to spine. The colour of the jacket, 2.75$ price and NY Herald Tribune quote perhaps signify that this is a BOMC first edition variant of the jacket. Altogether a very nice copy. very good Frazier PG 40. Illustrated by the author. A true first edition as signified by the Scribner's A. Will James was a cowboy, cattle rustler, beloved author and artist of the American West. The book is inscribed on the title page to Tad Nichols "greatfully received from Dot Viets". Tad Nichols photographed and studied Glen Canyon in southeastern Utah from 1950 through 1963, when it was flooded to create Lake Powell. 1930
