London: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1930. Undetermined. very good. 1st U.K. edition in orange variant dj. 431 [2 pages with drawings]pp. Octavo. Blue cloth with gilt lettering on spine and front cover. Some slight wear and bumping to ends of spine and corners. The endpapers have some discolouration. B/W portrait frontis. Black and white illustrations throughout. Inscription from previous owner (1931) on back of front free endpaper. Clean, tight text block with only some mild discolouration and spotting to outer edges with long outer edge of text block roughly trimmed. In orange dust jacket, not price clipped (no price). The jacket is worn at edges with some creasing, small closed tears and chipping. The jacket is lsoiled and rubbed on the back, with fading to spine. Some minor professional restoration has been done to jacket. Altogether a very nice copy. very good Signed by the author on the front free endpaper (1931). Frazier PG 40. Illustrated by the author. A true first edition as signified by the Scribner's A. Will James was a cowboy, cattle rustler, beloved author and artist of the American West. 1930
