Straight, tight and clean, original owner's tidy address label to top corner of title page, light wear to edges, a bit to surfaces as well, light corner bumps. A memoir in word and drawings of the three and a half years the author spent voluntarily at the Japanese Internment Camp at Heart Mountain Wyoming during WWII with her American-born husband of Japanese ancestry. Profusely illustrated throughout with drawings by the author portraying daily life at the camp. Laid-in is the original order form for the book from the Hollywood JACL.
