Book #2 in this classic boys' series featuring the masked rider, a former Texas Ranger now going under the moniker, "the Lone Ranger," & his trusty Indian side-kick, Tonto. A FIRST EDITION (unknown printing) from Grosset & Dunlap from 1938, this hardcover 12mo has brown tweed cloth-covered boards with a design & lettering stamped in red to front cover & spine. Condition is Good+: very clean, binding strong & straight, both hinges intact, pages creamy white & unmarked, with very light tanning & offsetting to front endpapers. Moderate rubbing to extremities, heavier at all corners & spine tips. The price-clipped DJ is VG+: exceptionally bright & colorful, with very mild chipping to both ends of spine/corners; nicely protected in new mylar cover free!
