Sobre este artículo

New York: William Morrow, 2008. SIGNED by the AUTHOR directly on the title page (his signature only, NOT personalized to anyone). NEW and unread in a NEW, near PERFECT dust jacket. The jacket has only a tiny bit of very mild shelfwear (like you sometimes find in any new book store). NO chips, tears, creases or fading. NOT price clipped ($25.95). The jacket is protected by a removable Brodart clear-plastic sleeve. Bright and shiny. Sharp corners. Pages are fresh, crisp, clean and unmarked - obviously never read. Endpapers are photo illustrated. 2008. First printing with "First Edition" so stated and with complete number row (10 987654321) on the copyright page. Bound in the original green boards with a black spine stamped in bright gold. Complete with dust jacket. From the publisher: "Finding your place in the world can be the longest trip home... In the highly anticipated follow-up to Marley & Me, John Grogan again works his magic, bringing us the story of what came first. Before there was Marley, there was a gleefully mischievous boy growing up in a devout Catholic home outside Detroit in the 1960s and '70s. Despite his loving parents' best efforts, John's attempts to meet their expectations failed spectacularly. Whether it was his disastrous first confession, the purloined swigs of sacramental wine, or the fumbled attempts to sneak contraband past his father, John was figuring out that the faith and fervor that came so effortlessly to his parents somehow had eluded him. And then one day, a strong-willed young woman named Jenny walked into his life. As their love grew, John began the painful, funny, and poignant journey into adulthood -- away from his parents' orbit and into a life of his own. It would take a fateful call and the onset of illness to lead him on the final leg of his journey -- the trip home again. With his trademark blend of humor and pathos that made Marley & Me beloved by millions, John Grogan traces the universal journey each of us must take to find our unique place in the world. Filled with revelation and laugh-out-loud humor, The Longest Trip Home will capture your heart -- but mostly it will make you want to reach out to those you love most.". SIGNED by the AUTHOR. First Printing of the First Edition. Hardcover. New condition/New dust jacket. 8vo. xiv, 335pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.

Sobre About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
