Sobre este artículo
New York: Simon and Schuster, 1964. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. A novel about the South and about two men--boyhood friends, one black and one white--who after returning home from WWII find themselves on opposite sides of the battle over civil rights. First edition. Stated first printing. Aside from a 1.5" embossed personal library seal on the front free endpaper and a 1" black mark of sorts on the front pastedown endpaper, this is a clean copy with no other writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. Pages are slightly browned, and the first twenty pages or so are lightly creased. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square and not bumped. Gray and red boards (lined with dark blue stars) are in great shape, flat and true, with just a bit of soiling to the edges but minimal wear. The writing on the spine remains quite vibrant. Dust jacket is not price-clipped ($5.95) but does have some issues, namely some substantial tattering and chipping to the edges with associated creasing. None of this damage extends more than 1/2" into the cover, however, so for the most part it is intact and vibrant with otherwise only minor scuffing and browning and a small area of sticker residue on the upper right corner of the front cover. This collectible, very good+/very good, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
