The "angry young men" were a group of mostly working- and middle-class British playwrights and novelists who became prominent in the 1950s. The group's leading figures included Osborne was one of the original British "angry young men," a phrase coined to promote the play that stuck.and was used to describe young writers disillusioned with traditional British society. Offsets to endpapers otherwise fine in fine dust jacket.
