Jasper Shrig mystery, set in England around 1820. The top of the pageblock is dyed. The sides have some grime. There is some shelfwear, and a spot on the front coverwear the cloth has been smoothed. There is a prior bookseller's note on the FEP. Despite, a small stain or two , a folded corner, and a small tear, the text is completely readable. There isn't any writing or marking in the text.

Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Lettering is bright and clear. Unclipped jacket.
