He has been an adjunct professor of studio art at the Art History, Visual Arts and Theory Department of the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada. He has taught at the Center for Latin American Studies and the Art and Art History Department, Stanford University, and starting in 1987 he was a tutor at the Facultad de Artes Olasticas del Instituto Suoerior de Arte in Havana, where he worked with individual students as the main advisor for their thesis.. .
