Sobre este artículo

Louisiana State Univ Pr, 1986-11-01. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Hardcover, 2nd Printing (number line starts with 2) Louisiana State University Press 241 pages. Near Fine, in a NF DJ. Just a hint of shelf/edge wear to turquoise cloth boards with orange spine titles - one tiny bumped corner. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to original unclipped ($16.95) DJ - now in mylar. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. Only flaw is a very faint wave/wrinkle on the top right of the half-title page. The Lost Get Back-Boogie was the author’s breakthrough book that was the precursor to his successful Dave Robicheaux mystery series. The Lost Get-Back Boogie was rejected by over one hundred publishers before being published in a very small print run by Louisiana University Press in 1986.This is the authors fourth novel. A very handsome vintage copy in the original unclipped DJ. ISBN-0807113344. LOC SSS-22

Sinopsis

Burke's novel tells the story of Iry Paret, paroled for manslaughter, and trying to rebuild his life in a quiet Montana ranch owned by a friend's father, Frank Riordan. However, Frank is trying to shut down the local toilet paper mill, the number one cause of pollution in the town, as well as the number one employer! Can Iry avoid the eye of the sherrif and not earn the enmity of the town?
