Sobre este artículo

Great Britain: Countryside Books, 2005. Paperback. In this well researched and excellently written book, the author explains the history of these lost lines, the reason for the construction and for their closure. He also coveres the lines which have been painstakingly preserved and restored by enthusiasts - the Lavender Line and Isfield, near Uckfield, the Psa Valley Railway which runs between Tunbridge Wells and Groombridge, the Bluebell Line which currently operates from Sheffield Park, through Horsted Keynes to Kingscote, and the Kent & East Sussex Railway which provides services between Tenterden Town and Bodiam. Modern photographs accompany those from earlier times, many of which are published for the first time in book form. These, together with seven specially drawn maps, will help enthusiasts to locate the closed lines and railway stations that have survived from the heyday of the railway age. Originally published under the title Sussex Railways Remembered, this book appears here in a revised, updated and expanded new format. Illustrated. 159 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions etc.) . Reprint. Soft Cover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Paperback.
