Charles Scribner's Sons, 1959-01-01. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good+. Signed. First printing. Inscribed, SIGNED, and dated ("Rome, 30 March 1960") by Gerald Green on the front endpaper. The volume is bumped on the spine ends and corners, has faint creases on the spine and some offsetting and toning on the endpapers and pastedowns. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a sleeve, is edge rubbed with corner and spine end chips (to a maximum depth of 3/8" at the top rear joint), and several wrinkles and closed tears. The rear panel has some light soiling.
