L'OUVRIER. Journal bi-hebdomadaire illustré. "Journal illustre paraissant de le Mercredi et la Samedi" [English translation: THE WORKER, a bi-weekly illustrated newspaper published on Wednesday and Saturday"]. This quarto-leather hardcover book is a collection of a year of this publication. It contains issues May 1, 1912 through April 26, 1913. Published in Paris by Henri Gautier, the newspaper included Biographies, Talks, Literature, Novels, Short Stories, and Sciences.
The volume is in good+ condition. The leather spine has gilt title and decoration. The leather tips from the cover corners are missing. The hard boards and spine have moderate rubbing on corners and edges. The corners are bumped. Pebble decorated paper covers 3/4 of the front and back boards. The paper has some sticker damage that has peeled the decorated paper and exhibit scratches. binding is sound and pages are all present. Pages are tanned from age. The volume includes an alphabetical list of articles contained in the issues with their page number. 840 pp. Volume measures 12.5" tall by 9" wide and is about 1 5/8" thick.
