London: The Bodley Head, (1966). First edition, first printing. This is a fine copy. The dust wrapper is beautifully illustrated by the hand of Stephen Russ. It suffers from one minute hairline tear at the top edge which has been repaired internally with tape. It has not been price clipped, showing the 25s net price. The boards are immaculate, without any chips or marks. The gilt titling is bright and clean, though with some ink overlaying. The internals, like the text blocks, are bright and white, free from inscriptions. This is a fine, exemplary copy.
The author's third novel.
