The first edition of this work. In the original publisher's unclipped dustwrapper. 'Love and Friendship' is a novel about two faculty wives, at the all male elite Convers College. Written by Alison Lurie, an American novelist, who won the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for 'Foreign Affairs'. Bookplate to the front pastedown, 'Felix Dennis'. Dennis was an English publisher, known for his pioneering company Dennis Publishing, which pioneered computer and hobby magazine publishing in the UK. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. A couple of very light marks to the boards. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Dustwrapper with discolouration and a few light spots, including to the reverse. Closed tear to the head of the spine of the dustwrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with a couple of light marks only. Near Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
