Small 8vo. in red cloth decorated and lettered in gilt. 96 pp. Very good, front cover white stamping rubbed. A collection of 31 humorously satirical one-sided notes and "love letters" from one Catherine (Kitty)Yorke tracing her meeting with a "Mr D___" and their burgeoning attraction and eventual love affair (culminating with just one long kiss or so we are led to believe). She wants him to come, wants him to go, he plans a trip to Norway (and doesn't go), plans a voyage to the Antipodes (and doesn't go). The final entries include a quote from the divorce court records and a converastion between "he" and "she" on board a ship to Australia.
