Based on the 1902 play by Maxim Gorky, and filmed several times prior, most notably by Jean Renoir in 1936. In Kurosawa's version, the story is moved from Gorky's Volga (Russia) setting to the Edo period in Japan.
Off-white perfect-bound titled wrappers, with a protective plastic cover adhered to the spine. Approximately 53 leaves, with last page of text numbered c-29. Mimeograph duplication, printed on rectos and versos. Pages lightly age toned else Near Fine, wrapper and protective cover Very Good plus.
