Lulu's Library Volumes 1-3

Volumes 1 and 2 are blue cloth, volume 3 is yellow cloth, all three have the same embossed lettering and illustrations on front cover and spine, with embossed title in gilt on spine. Volumes 1 and 2 have cracked hinges, considerable edge wear and mottled back covers, page edges browned, interior pages generally clean with a little foxing or small brown stains here and there, spines pushed forward, binding has play but all pages intact, flower-patterned endpages. Back cover of volume 1 is quite loose in binding, three pages of publisher's ads in back, there may be more that are missing. Volume 2 has several pages of ads for Louisa May Alcott's books, each with a nearly full-page illustration. Volume three also has edge wear, bumping, spine pushed forward, page edges browned, flower-patterned endpages. Binding is stronger, hinges are good, a few small white stains on front and back covers. Pages are lightly browned but generally clean with a little foxing or small brown stains here and there. A portrait illustration of Alcott with her signature printed above the first story entitled, "Recollections from My Childhood." Additional photos by request.
