John Osborne's play about Martin Luther's religious revolution. It was first performed at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham, on June 6, 1961, in a production by the English Stage Company. Albert Finney played the great man and Tony Richardson directed. (The front flap mistakenly says it was first performed in Paris in July 1961.)
PHYSICAL DETAILS: Octavo (8 1/8 x 4 7/8 inches; 207 x 124 mm), 102 pages, in burgundy cloth, titles in gilt to spine, in a price-clipped, illustrated dust jacket (hard cover).
CONDITION: Spine titles bright and unfaded, upper board slightly askew, rubbing to extremities. Internally, unmarked and tight. Very Good or better in a Very Good, price-clipped dust jacket that has light edge wear and some soiling to the lower panel.
