Each with introductory remarks and notes. Translated from the Greek by John Stuart Blackie. Edited by Ernest Rhys, who supplies a preface, an essay on the genius and character of the Greek tragedy, and biography of Aeschylus. An entry in Everyman's Library Classical series. --- In flatback binding style 1, full pale green cloth-covered boards with elaborate Reginald Knowles-designed gilt spine titling & decorations, blindstamped J. M. Dent vignette to front covers, brown topstain. Undated, but possibly published c.1906-1927. Volume lacks a dust jacket. --- A few pages near the front of the book are brittle and could easily tear, white marking to spine, and soiling to cloth, dampstain to textblock edge and prior owner's signature to front endpaper, else a sound copy.; 16mo (6 to 7 in. tall); (8), 437 pages .
