Upper edge gilt. Signed to the final page by Jack Brussel. This being copy number 780. No inscriptions. A lovely, clean, tight very good plus copy in a similar slipcase. Slight rubbing to one edge of paper onlay to one panel of the slipcase - hardly noticeable. A slight printer's flaw has left slight lifting/creasing to the front paste-down and something similar to the rear paste-down but a bit more noticeable. An 8mm split to the rear inner hinge at the head - and a 1.4cm one to the tail - the rear board is in no way loose - these flaws connected to the aforementioned flaw. A lovely signed copy in similar slipcase.

It is the comic account of one woman's extraordinary mission to end the Peloponnesian War, as Lysistrata convinces the women of Greece to withhold sexual privileges from their husbands as a means of forcing the men to negotiate a peace.
