Sobre este artículo

London: F.S. Ellis, 1870. First Edition. A fair copy with front wrap almost detached and significant staining to rear, wear to both, and loss to spine, contents generally clean but with evidence the whole volume was folded in half at one point.. First edition. Lytton Strachey's copy, with his Dora Carrington-designed bookplate to the verso. With faded addresses which appear to be in Strachey's hand on the rear wrap.

Shortly before their deaths in 1932, Carrington wrote in her journal, "As I stuck the book plates in with Lytton I suddenly thought of Sothebys and the book plates in some books I had looked at, when Lytton was bidding for a book and I thought: These books will one day be looked at by those gloomy faced booksellers and buyers. And suddenly a premonition of a day when these labels will no longer (be) in this library came over me. I longed to ask Lytton not to stick in any more." Chisholm, ed. Carrington's Letters Her Art, Her Loves, Her Friendships.

8vo. 24pp., [1]. Wise 52.
