More than 500 entries provide students with basic information about the historical, economic, scientific, and cultural aspects of transport. The focus is on the U. S. , although major international topics are also included. Coverage is representative rather than comprehensive. For example, Chevrolet and Cadillac have their own entries, while Ford and Chrysler are only mentioned in broader entries on the automobile industry.
