Tall octavo (9.75") in handsome red cloth boards, gilt text and gilt illustration on front board, gilt text on spine as well, Good-/No DJ: some shelfwear and edgewear, bumping to head and tail of spine and corners of boards, some soiling and dampstaining to rear board, minor touches of soiling and dampstaining to front board, spine is cocked, toning/transfer to front and rear endpapers and paste-downs, fore-edge of text block deckled, light touches of sporadic foxing, light age-toning, previous owner's name written in pencil on top-right corner of title page. Text is remarkably clean. "With 3 Coloured Maps and 64 Illustrations." Includes one folding map at rear of book. Illustrations and maps clean. [Spine has red cloth background and gilt text.]
