Very rare copy of author's first book featuring the lady detectivge Madame Storey. First edition by the Doran Co. There may have been an earlier edition by another publisher.
The book (no dust jacket) is in excellent condition for its age. Light wear at bottom of spine, more pronounced at the top spine edges, otherwise miniscule wear on covers; and light smudge; small smudges on the table of contents page and top of page 17; and light pencil marks (previously erased) on the first flyleaf page. Tight binding. Pages are clean, clear, without marks, folds or foxing.
