Third edition, entirely rewritten with the addition of much new matter, small 8vo, xxxii, 310, 6 [adverts]pp.,with half-title, 3 coloured folding maps, a folding view, folding plan of Reid's Palace Hotel, Funchal, endpapers slightly browned, original publishers red cloth, gilt, spine lightly faded, a nice copy. The proprietor's of Reid's Palace Hotel were W. and A. Reid, and a manuscript note on the plan points to room 31 "This I am reserving & also another good room for Miss Simmons. W. Reid."
