Davis, with photograph of author on back panel, edges lightly rubbed and split, with a couple of small chips, two short closed tears tape repaired (one on reverse), tiny stain near fore-edge of back panel; inked ownership inscription at head of pastedowns, a little light foxing; Heinemann, London, 1963. First U.K. edition. Loder p. 235. *Published in America in the same year as The Body at Madman's Bend. A Bony story, set in the west of the Darling River region of New South Wales.
